Since my last bottle of kombucha came out relatively flat, I consulted with my ‘bucha buddy and she suggested maybe filling the bottle up closer to the top to leave less air gap. So that’s what I did. It still came out pretty flat.
I consulted with bucha buddy again and she said she recently made a batch where some came out fizzy and others did not.
So we’ll see what happens with my third bottle (4 days old). I added very little juice (1 tbsp). I’ll see if that makes any difference.
My fourth bottle (2 days old) has more juice (3-4 tbsps). I wonder if more sugar will provide more food for the yeast, making it fizzier.
